"Those, who are writing seriously are always in search of their own identity. They sometimes reach their own limits and abysses and more rarely those of THE human being. I think that I have reached these limits in some of my books. This might be the reason why my writing is not for everybody. Big selling records are made with light infotainment...". Mariella Mehr, February 2002 |

Business potential |
"Angeklagt" is a monologue of a woman-pyromaniac and murderer. It might be an excellent basis of a stage/screen-script for a psycho-thriller! Short presentation in English Mariella is a "post-expressionist". Her writing is full of images creating "visual sensations" in the readers mind. That's why publishers, Film/TV-Managers and Theatre intendants should have a closer look at her literature. Her novel "Das Licht der Frau" (female tauromachia) in Spanish translation could be big business in Spain an Latin America) The play "Kinder der Landstrasse" had a great echo in the Press. Marianne Pletscher of Swiss TV made a documentary of the “mise en scene” in theatre. Urs Egger and Joh. Bösiger made a Film in this context with Jasmin Tabatabai: “Jenseits der Landstrasse”. The Film was quite successful in Europe. A video is available. |
